Swimming hosts Bethel for Senior Night on Friday; travels to Lindsey Wilson on Saturday

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville's men's and women's swimming team returns to action for the first time since Dec. 1 as they host Bethel University on Friday night at 5 p.m. ET for Senior Night. On Saturday, the Tigers are back in action as they travel down Highway 55 to take on Lindsey Wilson College at 1 p.m. ET in Columbia, Ky.

Campbellsville was slated to host the Wildcats last Saturday but Winter Storm Hunter came into the Taylor County area forcing the postponement to Friday night.

Prior to the meet, the Campbellsville swimming program will honor its graduating seniors. Alex Meade, Austin Tucker, Maria Archila, Meika Hamblin, Jen Lewis, Katy Lewis and Amber Wright will all be taking part in their final meet inside the Powell Athletic Center. The Wildcats will also recognize their graduating seniors before competition begins.

Campbellsville has been away from competition for a month-and-a-half after its last competition came in dual on the road against University of the Cumberlands. During the last meet, the Tigers dropped a 150-34 dual against the Patriots, while the Lady Tigers suffered a 144-68 setback to start December.

Entering 2018, the Campbellsville men hold a record of 1-5 overall and the women's team sits at 2-4 on the season. Both the men and women took down Life University, while the women picked up an additional victory over Union College.

Both of Bethel's squads have dropped its only head-to-head dual this season with the men losing 136-37 at Lindsey Wilson and the women lost 131-46 to the Blue Raiders. Last time out for the Wildcats, the men finished fourth at the Sewanee Igloo Invitational, where the women placed sixth overall.

Friday's meet is set to be the third and final home meet of the season for the Tigers. Campbellsville hosted Centre College and Asbury University earlier this season.

Earlier this season, the Blue Raiders swept a tri-dual against the Tigers with the men falling to Lindsey Wilson, 164-77, and the women suffered a 175-76 loss to Lindsey Wilson. Both Blue Raider squads come into the weekend ranked inside the top 10 of the national poll and both have dual meet records of 4-3.

Campbellsville is set to take on Bethel at 5 p.m. ET on Friday inside the Powell Athletic Center. The Tigers then hits the road to face Lindsey Wilson on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET in Columbia, Ky.
