CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Battle of Highway 55 is renewed on Thursday night at 9 p.m. ET when the Campbellsville men's basketball team travels south to face rival and No. 2-ranked Lindsey Wilson College from Biggers Sports Center.
The Tigers snapped their four-game losing streak last time out to move to 16-5 on the season after recording a 66-58 victory at home over Shawnee State University. Campbellsville rebounded from a second half deficit to grab its first conference victory of the season. For just the second time during the conference season, the Tigers won the rebounding battle as they outrebounded the Bears, 38-28.

Andrew Smith led Campbellsville with 21 points and he tied his career high with four blocks. He also recorded a game-high eight rebounds just missing a double-double.
Tim Coleman was the only other Tiger to reach double figures with 13 points.
On the season, Coleman leads the team in scoring with 14.6 points per game and he has notched a team-best 80 assists and 30 steals. Smith leads the team with eight boards a game and his 37 blocks are sixth best in the nation. As a team, Campbellsville is sixth in the NAIA with 98 blocks through the first 21 games.
Against conference opponents, the Tigers are being outscored 406-368, while Campbellsville's opponents are shooting 47.9 percent from the floor and 38.1 percent from beyond the arc. The Tigers shoot the ball at a 40.9 percent clip and are shooting just 33 percent from three.
Lindsey Wilson enters the week with a record of 19-1 and is tied for first in the conference at 4-1. The Blue Raiders started the season with 18-straight wins before dropping its first game of the season last Saturday on the road against University of the Cumberlands, 86-61. Lindsey Wilson closed out its non-conference slate with a victory over Fisk University, 75-72, on Monday night.
Bryan Wallace has been the catalyst for the Blue Raiders this season recording a team-best 18.6 points per game and he leads the nation with 79 steals and is second on the team with 91 assists. Lindsey Wilson has five individuals averaging over 10 points a game, while Nic Brown rounds out the group with 10.4 points a game and he leads the team with 9.4 rebounds per game. Brown also ranks fourth in the nation with 57 of the teams 102 blocks – third in the nation as a team.
Campbellsville leads the Battle of Highway 55, 37-29, over the Blue Raiders. Neither team has won back-to-back games since the 2014-15 season, which was the last time either team won on the road. The last meeting featured Lindsey Wilson edging the Tigers in Columbia, 76-72. The Blue Raiders hold a slight 16-14 edge over Campbellsville in games played in Columbia. The last win for the Tigers in Biggers Sports Center came on Dec. 4, 2014, when Campbellsville won 67-62 en route to sweeping the season series.
