CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.- After a fast weekend last weekend at the Mid South Conference Championships, the men and women's cross country teams are heading out to Point Lookout, Missouri to the NCCAA National Championships Saturday morning.

Coming off her best time of the year, Mia Rodriguez looks to continue her first year success after running her fastest time of the year. She placed fifth at the Mid South Conference Championships last weekend while running a 19:38.2 which is good for number five on the all time list for Campbellsville.Â

Lady Tigers best finish at the NCCAA Championships came back in 2014 when they finished ninth as a team. They recorded the third fastest team average time for the program at that meet of a 20:35. Lady Tigers have not had an All-American at the NCCAA Championships since they first joined in 2010.Â
Seven Lady Tigers will be racing in this years championships consisting of: Mia Rodriguez, Miranda Rzendzian, Madeline Rhoads, Taylor Cox, Maggie Parrish, Elise Shainfeld, and Julianna Bradley.

The Tigers will look to improve upon their recent success at the NCCAA Championships. Since 2015 they have not placed outside the top four spots. In 2015 the team placed fourth, and in 2016 and 2017 the teams placed third. The programs best team average time came from the NCCAA Championships back in 2015. The team then had a time of 26:08, which is 29 seconds faster than the current teams pace so far in 2018 coming from the Greater Louisville Classic of 26:37.

Bret Crawford will look to add on to his NCCAA hardware for this career. He has two All-American honors at the cross country championships and one for his outdoor track career. Crawford placed seventh at last years championships while running a 25:49. Sam Kiser will look to rejoin Crawford on the All-American podium again this year. Kiser filled the final spot for All-American last year placing 15
thand running a 26:35. The Tigers have had seven All-Americans since 2013 at the NCCAA Championships.
The Tigers will take eight runners out with them to the championships: Bret Crawford, Corbin Harris, Jacob Hamilton, Sam Kiser, Jarrett Crawford, Cody Horn, Chris Stoeckel, and Camryn Snapp.

The men's race will go off at 10:00 a.ms CT and the women's race will follow at 11:00 a.m. CT.
