Hilary Lakes has released the 2018 schedule for the men and women's cross country teams. The teams will face all levels of competition this year during the course of the regular season.

The team will start out with the MSC Preview Meet in Bowling Green, KY on September 8. The Tigers will be able to view the course that they will be running on in early November for the MSC Championships.

The team will then host its first home meet since 2007 on September 15. The course will be set out at Green River Lake. Â

The Tigers will then have a tough mid-season as they will be traveling to some of the nation's top meets. The team will return to the Greater Louisville Classic on September 29.

For the second time the teams will travel out to the NAIA Preview Meet in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on October 6. Â The last time the team traveled to the NAIA Preview Meet was back in 2015, the men's team placed No. 11 and the women's team placed No. 21.

The Tigers will finish off the regular season with the NAIA Challenge up in Grand Rapids, Michigan on October 20.

The Lady Tigers will look to earn the programs second conference title this fall, while their first title came back in 2008. Shawnee State women have not lost at the MSC championships since joining the conference back in 2010. The Lady Tigers best finish at the MSC Championships since their last title was third place back in 2009 and 2010

The Tigers will also be looking to win the programs second team title this fall behind the women. Shawnee States men's team have only one loss at the MSC Championships at the hands of Campbellsville in 2015. Since the Tigers last title, they have placed second in the last two MSC Championships. 2017 conference champion Bret Crawford will look to defend his title this fall and help lead the team to a second title in four years.

The teams will finish off the post season with the NCCAA National Championship in Point Lookout, Missouri and for those qualifiers, the NAIA National Championship in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on November 17.
