Nominees are finalized for inaugural Awards Night on Thursday, April 18

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — The top three nominees have been voted upon by the Campbellsville University coaches and the inaugural Awards Night is 19 days away. 
 
The first event of its kind at CU was formed to celebrate and honor the academic, athletic and community excellence achieved by all Campbellsville University student-athletes.

The night will feature a buffet style meal starting at 6:30 p.m. ET with the awards banquet set to begin at approximately 7:30. 

Community members, fans, parents and alumni are invited to the event. Tickets are $25 each and individuals must RSVP. To RSVP, please contact Jason England, Big Maroon Club Director, at (270) 789-5290 or jsengland@campbellsville.edu. Dress for the event will be semiformal. 

Voting will begin on Saturday afternoon, March 30, via a Twitter Poll. The winner of each poll will receive one vote for when the More Than A Game committee finalizes the winners on Monday, April 8.

  • Nick Ratliff winning the 2018 BASS College Series Classic Bracket to clinch a spot in the 2019 GEICO Bassmaster Classic. 
  • Madison Stewart scoring her 1,000thpoint on a half-court shot vs. Lindsey Wilson
  • David Richardson battles back after being sentenced in prison 10 years ago in high school. In Richardson's first wrestling match, he upset No. 13 Avery Buckman from Lindsey Wilson to seal a win for the Tigers at the National Duals.

Alumni Association Scholar-Athlete of the Year:  
The final three nominees for each award will receive free admission along with two complementary tickets for family members. 
 
Also, the event will be live streamed on www.CampbellsvilleTigers.com/watch.
 
A spin-off of the popular ESPY Awards held each year by ESPN and many collegiate awards nights hosted throughout the country, the Athletics Awards feature individual and team honors, chosen from CU's 30 varsity sports. The event is dedicated to celebrating the nearly 800 student-athletes that represent Campbellsville University. Videos of the nominees in each category are shown, and special guests and sponsors will present each award.
