Lady Tiger Basketball begins five-game home stand on Tuesday night with the Virgin Islands

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — For just the second time this season, the Lady Tigers return to the Powell Athletic Center and plan to stay for two weeks. Campbellsville hosts University of the Virgin Islands on Tuesday night for the first meeting between the two programs to start a five-game home stand. 
 
Tipoff between the Lady Tigers and Lady Buccaneers is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET in the Powell Athletic Center. 
 
Fans can tune into Matt Payton on the CU Sports Network starting at 5:45 p.m. for pregame coverage on radio and TV.  
 
The Lady Tigers enter the week with a 6-1 record after going 1-1 at the NAIA Invitational last week after Thanksgiving. CU produced its lowest scoring output all season in the 75-64 loss to No. 4 Columbia College but got back on track with a 91-75 win over Martin Methodist. 

The Virgin Islands is 4-9 entering the week and has lost eight of the last night games. The Lady Bucs lone win in that span came against Carlow College, 74-62. 
 
The Virgin Islands has a few common opponents with CU. The Lady Bucs lost to Lindsey Wilson, 78-43, and University of the Cumberlands, 53-43. 
 
Caitlin Hall continues to turn heads at the point guard position. The junior from Stanford, Ky. enters with a 7.4 assists per game average - which is third in the NAIA. She has a strong supporting cast of scorers - Madison Faulkner (14.4), Savannah Gregory (13.4), Madison Stewart (9.4) and Madison Kaiser (11.2). With three Lady Tigers scoring in double figures, it's just the fourth time in Ginger High Colvin's tenure that CU has produced three or more in double digits.

  • CU plays Ohio Christian on Saturday for a first-ever meeting as well.
CU begins five-game home stand:
  • The Lady Tigers played back-to-back games against the Virgin Islands on Tuesday and Wednesday before hosting Ohio Christian on Saturday.
