Tiger wrestling heads to Indiana to face three schools at the Indiana Tech Warrior Duals

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville men's wrestling will have a busy Saturday this weekend as they head to Fort Wayne, Ind. to compete in the Indiana Tech Warrior Duals.
 
The Tigers are coming off of their first home dual last Friday where they defeated St. Andrews University 43-3 with their only loss coming in the 285 lbs. weight class. With that win, CU is 2-1 as a team in their dual record early on in the 2018-19 campaign.
 
Three Campbellsville wrestlers remained undefeated in duals competitions with their wins against St. Andrews last week. Jordan Martinez moved to 3-0 at the 125 lbs. class, Marvin Galette went to 3-0 in the 133 lbs. class and Michael Diemer moved to 2-0 in the 157 lbs. weight class.
 
CU will face three different schools on Saturday when they face host school Indiana Tech at 9 a.m., Marian University 10:30 a.m. and Lourdes University at noon. The matches against Indiana Tech and Lourdes will be streamed live online.
 
Indiana Tech is the No. 2 ranked team in the NAIA Coaches Poll but they have not competed in any duals with team scores as they've competed in five opens or invitational events so far this season.

Marian is No. 18 in the poll and also 2-1 in their three duals on the season with wins over two ranked opponents in No. 17 Southeastern and No. 8 Williams Baptist University. The Knights also lost to No. 14 Lindsey Wilson as all of their duals have finished with a 10-point differential or less.
 
Marian has eight individuals ranked in the NAIA individual rankings.

Lourdes has been busy in the early going, competing in eight duals already this season, going 5-3. Their wins have been against Pitt-Bradford, Urbana, Penn State Behrend, Kent State-Tuscarawas and Ohio Valley. Their losses came against Ashland, John Carroll and Adrian.
 
The Gray Wolves have only one wrestler ranked in the individual rankings as Ray Porter is No. 10 in the 125 lbs. weight class.
 
After the Indiana Tech Warrior Duals, CU will compete in a similar format next Sunday, Dec. 16 at the Smoky Mountain Duals in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
