Tiger volleyball returns home looking for first win over Cincinnati Christian

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — After going 2-2 last week, Campbellsville men's volleyball returns to the Powell Athletic Center tonight to host Cincinnati Christian University.
 
First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET in The Powell Center and fans can tune into the CU Sports Network – www.campbellsvilletigers.com/watch - for live coverage.
 
The Tigers enter the week with a 5-6 record and 1-1 inside Mid-South Conference play. CU was a part of four consecutive sweeps – two wins and two loses – last week. The Tigers took down Milligan College and Judson University, while falling to St. Andrews and Siena Heights.
 
Rafael Cruz leads the Tigers with 145 kills in the first 11 matches and is averaging 4.3 kills per set – which is No. 3 in the country. His 145 total kills ranks No. 9.
 
As a team, the Tigers enter the week with 50 service aces (#9), averaging 9.9 digs per game (#12), 355 assists (#18), 339 digs (#18) and 382 kills (#18).
 
Noel Camello has worked his way to one of the best Libero's in the country, ranking No. 3 with 3.5 digs per set and No. 7 with 120 digs in the 11 matches. Diego Romero ranks No. 8 with nine assists per set and No. 13 with 263 total assists.
 
Cincinnati Christian enters tonight with a 5-5 record and is also 1-1 inside conference play. The Eagles are entering after dropping three of their last four matches, including a trio of 3-1 losses to No. 10 Warner University, loss to Robert Morris – which is receiving votes, and No. 9 Lourdes.
 
In last season's three matchups, Cincinnati Christian swept Campbellsville in those matches and owns a 3-0 record over the Tigers.
