CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The final week of the regular season is here and the Campbellsville men's basketball team begins the week against Cumberland University at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday night inside the Powell Athletic Center.
The Tigers come into the week tied with the Phoenix and Shawnee State University of sixth in the Mid-South Conference standings with a mark of 4-8. Last time out; Campbellsville suffered an 87-66 loss on the road to No. 3 University of Pikeville – who clinched at least a share of the conference title with the victory.

Andrew Smith led the Tigers with a 33 points against Pikeville to set a new career high, while he also set a new personal best with 13 made field goals and seven made free throws. He was the only player for Campbellsville to reach double figures last week.
Following the 33-point outburst over the weekend, Smith now leads the Tigers with 14.2 points per game. He also leads the way with 7.7 rebounds per game and ranks 13th in the nation with a field goal percentage of 58.8 percent.
Hagen Tyler is also averaging double figures this season with 12.8 points per contest. He also leads the Tigers with 65 made three-pointers and shoots the three at a 41.1 percent clip.
Cumberland comes into the week with a record of 11-15 overall after splitting their two MSC contests last week. The Phoenix upset No. 21 Life University, 93-85, before falling to No. 24 University of the Cumberlands in overtime, 78-73.
Leading Cumberland this season has been Diondrey Holt, Jr., who notches 16.9 points per game for the Phoenix and he has dished out 100 assists. As a team, Cumberland ranks 18th in the NAIA with 8.4 steals per game and its 219 steals are 21st overall. Juandrico Walker paces the Phoenix on the glass with 6.3 rebounds per game.
During the last meeting, the Tigers controlled the glass and outrebounded Cumberland, 41-21, and 19-5 on the offensive end en route to the 87-77 victory. Campbellsville leads the all-time series, 21-11, and has won 10 of the 14 matchups against the Phoenix inside the Powell Athletic Center.
