No. 12 Lady Tigers start 11-game road swing on Tuesday at Bryan College

DAYTON, Tenn. — Campbellsville softball hits the road for 11 straight games starting on Tuesday afternoon. The Lady Tigers travel to Bryan College for a two-game set with the Lions - first pitch of the doubleheader scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.

Fans can follow the action live on the CU Sports Network – www.campbellsvilletigers.com/watch - and live stats will be available on www.CampbellsvilleStats.com.

The 12th-ranked Lady Tigers started the season with a 4-0 record after sweeping a pair of non-conference games against Calumet College of St. Joseph and Centre College. In those four games, the Lady Tigers have out-scored opponents. 52-13, while CU is averaging 13 runs per game.

Junior righty Morgan Gailor (2-0) is coming off another strong week in the circle enroute to being named the Mid-South Conference Pitcher of the Week for the second straight week. Last week, Gailor went 5.1 innings, allowed three hits, an unearned run, walked one and struck out two. In her three appearances this season, she has pitched 10.1 innings, allowed four hits and has yet to allow an earned run. Gailor earned a save and a win against Centre College last Tuesday.

Senior Neely Quint has got the ball in game one of each doubleheader and boasts a 2-0 record. Quint carries in a 3.94 ERA in 10.2 innings. Southpaw Karson Williams has appeared in two games out of the bullpen and has yet to allow a run. Overall, the three hurlers are allowing an opponent's batting average of .204.

The offense has been spectacular as well, out-scoring opponents 52-13 in four games. Led by Alexis Smith and Ryleigh Oldham, the duo has a team-high .538 batting average. Smith leads the Lady Tigers with seven RBI, while Oldham - who was named NCCAA Player of the Week on Monday night –  tallied a single, double and a home run in each game vs. Centre College last week.

Bryan College enters the week with a 3-9 record after losing four of its last six games. The lone wins for Bryan College have come against West Virginia Tech (1-0), Freed-Hardeman (2-1) and Kentucky Christian (18-5).

As a team, the Lions have been out-scored by opponents, 69-34. The Bryan pitching staff boasts a team-ERA of 5.11 and opponents are hitting .318 off their five hurlers.

Offensively, Bryan has struggled at the plate by hitting .215 as a team.

The Lions, who are led by first-year head coach Mark Ritchhart, are trying to recover from losing Olivia Gore to graduation last season. She finished her career with the most hits (223) and doubles (48) in Bryan history.

Bryan does return All-Conference First Team member Sydney West, All-Conference Second Team honoree and All-Freshman Team member Courtney Petty, and All-Freshman Team recipient and All-Defensive Team representative Heidi Smith.
