COLUMBUS, Ga. – Day one of the NAIA Swimming and Diving National Championships featured Campbellsville's men's swimming team placing 17th in the only event on Wednesday, the 800-yard freestyle relay.
The first full day of action at the national meet begins on Thursday at 9 a.m. ET from the Columbus Aquatics Center in Columbus, Ga.
Swimming in the 800-yard freestyle relay for the Tigers was

Matthew Monday,
Josh Provost and
RJ Harris.
With the 17th-place finish, Campbellsville was one spot away from scoring points toward the team score. The Tigers swam the relay in 7:26.87, which was over six seconds faster than their qualifying time of 7:33.06 that was set earlier this season.
Olivet Nazarene University earned 40 points after winning the first event of the championship to grab the early lead in the team standings. Lindenwood University-Belleville is the highest scoring Mid-South Conference team after day one with 30 points to sit in fourth overall.
Day two features the 200-yard freestyle relay, 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard individual medley, 50-yard freestyle and 400-yard freestyle relay.
Preliminary action on Thursday begins at 9 a.m. ET followed by the finals at 5 p.m. ET from the Columbus Aquatics Center.
