CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville's back-to-back home games against top 25 teams comes to an end on Saturday afternoon as it hosts No. 21 University of the Cumberlands inside the Powell Athletic Center at 4 p.m. ET.
The Tigers come into the weekend with a record of 18-7 and they are 3-6 in the Mid-South Conference after dropping its second-straight game to No. 25 Life University, 81-73, on Thursday night. Against the Running Eagles, Campbellsville went on late runs in each half, but the Tigers could not hedge ahead with Life leading for nearly 35 minutes.

Campbellsville shot 42.4 percent from the floor and took 15 more shots than the Running Eagles, but Life shot 49 percent from the field and 42.3 percent from three. Despite being outrebounded 31-29, the Tigers grabbed 11 offensive boards, compared to just five from the Running Eagles.
Hagen Tyler and
Andrew Smith have been a two-headed monster for the Tigers this season with the pair recording 13.1 points per game this season. Smith is also the team's leading rebounder averaging 7.9 per game, but the junior only grabbed a pair of defensive rebounds on Thursday night.
Cumberlands comes into Saturday's contest with a record of 18-6 overall and it slipped into a three-way tie for third place in the MSC at 5-4 after falling at home to No. 10 Georgetown College, 70-68, on Thursday night. Malik Colvin-Seldon and Will Gary led the way for the Patriots against Georgetown with 16 and 15 points, respectively. Chance Morton notched a game-high 15 rebounds for Cumberlands, but he only recorded four points in the start.
Colvin-Seldon is the team's leading scorer with 14.6 points per game, but the Patriots have a balanced scoring attack with six different players scoring at least 10 points a game. Colvin-Seldon is also second on the team with six rebounds a game, while Morton leads the way with 7.1 boards and he chips in with 11.3 points. Cumberlands has the fourth-best free thrown percentage in the NAIA at 76 percent.
The all-time series between Campbellsville and Cumberlands dates back to 1960, where the Patriots lead the series, 86-48. Cumberlands has won the last four games over the Tigers with Campbellsville's last win coming at home, 76-75, on Jan. 14, 2016. Earlier this season, Cumberlands raced past the Tigers and grabbed an 88-73 victory at home.
In games played in Campbellsville, the Patriots have won 33 of the 60 games and the last contest in Powell Athletic Center saw Cumberlands outlast the Tigers in five overtimes, 116-115. Bernard Samuel ended the marathon game hitting a free throw with one second left in the fifth overtime to secure the win for the Patriots. Erik Kinney also played for over 60 minutes. Cumberlands did not have a player record over 55 minutes of game time with Samuel playing a team-high 53:25.
