Men’s Tennis begins postseason competition on Friday against Georgetown

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville's men's tennis team starts the Mid-South Conference Tournament at 10 a.m. ET on Friday against Georgetown College in the quarterfinals of the tournament at Warren East High School in Bowling Green, Ky.
 
Campbellsville enters the postseason with a record of 12-5 and are the fourth seed in the conference tournament after finishing 3-3 in the Mid-South Conference standings.
 
Both Campbellsville and Georgetown met up in the regular season at the Kelly Hall Tennis Complex, where Campbellsville earned an 8-1 victory. After sweeping doubles action, the lone win for Georgetown came at No. 1 singles after Ryo Takeda upended Alejandro Reyes in three sets, 5-7, 6-3, 10-6.
 
Entering the postseason, Campbellsville has two individual ranked in ITA singles rankings. Reyes – who holds a record of 6-5 – is ranked 11th in the NAIA, while Adrian Sabrojo is ranked 35th overall with a 1-1 mark this year.
 
In the doubles rankings, Chrys Castro and Reyes are ranked ninth in the NAIA. The duo posted a record of 9-3 this season with all 12 contests coming at No. 1 singles.
 
The winner of the Campbellsville-Georgetown matchup is set to face top-seeded Lindsey Wilson College – who won the MSC regular-season title – on Saturday at 11 a.m. ET from Warren East High School.
 
The championship match is slated for 11 a.m. ET on Sunday at Warren East High School.
 
Last season, the Tigers won their first-ever Mid-South Conference Tournament title after upsetting the Blue Raiders, 5-4, in the championship match.
 
Action on Friday begins at 10 a.m. ET with Campbellsville taking on Georgetown in the quarterfinals of the Mid-South Conference Tournament from Warren East High School.
