No. 4 Lady Tigers meet rival Georgetown in Mid-South Conference finals on Monday at 5 p.m. ET

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Lady Tiger softball is seeking its fifth Mid-South Conference Tournament championship and to claim that, Campbellsville will need to go through rival Georgetown on Monday evening.

The fourth-ranked Lady Tigers and three-seeded Georgetown Tigers are scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. ET at Michael Buchanon Park in Bowling Green. If Georgetown wins, the if-necessary game will follow 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.

Fans can tune in to the broadcast starting at 4:45 p.m. ET on the Campbellsville University Sports Network, 88.7 The Tiger, and www.campbellsvilletigers.com/watch.

Mid-South Conference history:
Campbellsville has won the regular season a record eight times and the Lady Tigers have earned the No. 1 seed in the tournament seven times, with three of those turning into tournament championships.

Overall, the regular season champion has also won the tournament title only nine of the 18 years. The Lady Tigers have won the MSC Tournament four times – 2016, 2008, 2007 and 2006.

In the championship games, the Lady Tigers beat Lindsey Wilson with 1-0 victories in both 2016 and 2008. Then CU defeated the Blue Raiders, 4-3, in 2007 and University of the Cumberlands, 3-2 in 2006.

Georgetown has five tournament championships in program history. The Tigers won three straight from 2001-2003, again in 2009 and their last in 2014.

How the Lady Tigers got here:
The Lady Tigers swept their way through the MSC's winner's bracket. CU is coming into Monday's title game after an 8-1 win over Kentucky Christian (Recap), a 6-1 victory over Cumberland University (Recap) and 9-6 over Lindsey Wilson (Recap).

Three-time MSC Player of the Year Jacqueline Roof has led CU at the plate by going 6-for-9, scoring seven runs and driving in two.

Fellow senior Rebecca Miller has also had a great tournament so far. Miller is 5-for-7 at the plate with four sacrifice bunts – breaking the single-season program record of 28 set by Kacie Vincent in 2011. Miller now has 30 sac bunts this season – all two of them in today's contest came around to score.

Through three games, Miller leads all conference players with her .714 average (5-for-7). Roof is right behind her at .667 (6-for-9).

In the circle, MSC Pitcher of the Year Neely Quint and Second-Team All MSC performer Morgan Gailor have both been sharp. Quint has earned a pair of wins, while Gailor picked up a victory in game one vs. Kentucky Christian and closed the door in the seventh inning against Lindsey Wilson on Sunday afternoon.

Quint improved her record to 27-2 after the win over the Blue Raiders on Sunday. In the two starts, Quint has tossed 13 innings, allowed 12 hits and six earned runs.

Gailor ranks second in the MSC Tournament with an ERA of 1.75 and opponent batting average at .179. In her two appearances, Gailor has tossed eight innings, allowed two earned runs and struck out five.

Regular season recap and Series Facts:
Campbellsville swept the regular season series with a pair of wins on March 10, 2-1 and 3-1, and another two wins at home, 1-0 and 6-5.

Since 2008, Campbellsville holds a 32-22 record over Georgetown. CU is also looking for revenge after falling 4-0 in last year's conference tournament.

In addition, one of the two ties in head coach Shannon Wathen's tenure came against Georgetown, 9-9 in 2009, due to no lights.

How Georgetown College got here:
Battling through the loser's bracket is already tough enough but Georgetown had its backs against the wall on Sunday and had to win three games.

The Tigers defeated Pikeville on Friday, 6-1, but lost to Lindsey Wilson, 14-6, to move into the loser's bracket. After Saturday's games were washed out, GC had to win three games on Sunday and did so. The Tigers beat Shawnee State, 7-1, Cumberland University, 8-5, and Lindsey Wilson, 4-1 -- all elimination games.

Hannah Morton has tossed in all five games for Georgetown, including four starts. She's tossed 24.2 of the 32 innings the Tigers have played in the tournament, allowed 12 runs and struck out 22 batters. She ranks sixth in the NAIA by allowing 4.1 hits per game and holding opponents to hitting .168 at the plate – which is seventh in the NAIA.

All-Conference Awards for Georgetown:
Kara Howard, Chaselyn Allgeier and Hannah Morton all earned first-team honors, while Cassidy Janes and Allison Watson were named to the second-team.

In addition, Janes and Corrin Robinson earned Gold Gloves for the MSC.

Allgeier leads GC and the Mid-South Conference with a batting average of .494, while Howard is hitting .392 with six home runs and a MSC-high 63 RBI.
