Tiger soccer set to host Indiana Wesleyan for final home game on their September schedule

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Tiger soccer returns to Finley Stadium to kickoff a doubleheader with the women's program on Saturday as the Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats come to town. 
 
Campbellsville hosts Indiana Wesleyan at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 15, while the Lady Tigers are scheduled to play Mount Vernon Nazarene at 6:00. 

Fans can watch both games started at 3:45 on the Campbellsville University Sports Network. 
 
The Tigers are coming in with a 2-3 record, while Indiana Wesleyan enters with a 5-1 slate – it's lone loss coming to Lindsey Wilson on Thursday.
 

Tiger Clawz:
  • Campbellsville is averaging 3.4 goals per game on a .134 shooting percentage while allowing 1.4 goals on a .130 shooting percentage. 
  • The Tigers have a 36-11 advantage in corner kicks this season.
  • Heath, Walters and Izzo all have three goals scored this season which leads the Tigers.
  • Heath and Sergio Cristaldo each have two assists to lead the way. Owen Stott has started the last two contests in goal and played 149:14 minutes in the net. He has recored nine saves while allowing two goals for a .818 save percentage. Luis Ramirez has played 300:46 minutes in goal and recorded eight saves and has a .615 save percentage.
Scouting the Wildcats:
  • The Wildcats are coming in with a 5-1 record - their lone loss to Lindsey Wilson Colleg earlier this week, 2-1.
  • Indiana Wesleyan won its first five games with three of them being 1-0 victories over Cornerstone, Concordia University and St. Xavier Univ. 
  • The scoring has been spread out for IWU, as Gabe Quesada and Luis Rocha lead the team with two goals apiece.
  • The Wildcats only score two goals per game, while CU averages 3.4.
  • In goal, Naoya Fugono has started in five of the six contests and allowed four of the five goals. Andrew Wick got the start against Michigan- Dearborn and allowed one goal and tallied one save. 
Campbellsville's Last Time Out:
  • The Tigers fell to the No. 15 ranked Central Methodist Eagles, 2-1, on Monday evening in Fayette, Mo.
  • Troy Walters scored his third goal in the last two games of the season. 
  • Walters is now tied with Nathan Heath and Gustavo Izzo for the most goals in the 2018 season.
