Tiger & Lady Tiger athletics sits in second place in mid-season NCCAA Presidential Award standings

GREENVILLE, S.C. — The National Christian College Athletic Association has announced the mid-season Presidential Award standings and Campbellsville University currently sits in second place. 
 
The Tigers and Lady Tigers have accumulated 45 points and are one of two institutions from the NCCAA DI level to have every fall sport represented at national tournaments throughout 2018. 
 
Men's cross country leads the way after a second-place finish at the NCCAA Championship this past year and earned nine points. Men's and women's golf each tallied eight, while men's and women's soccer both garnered 5.5 points. 
 
Lastly, women's volleyball earned five points for the total of 45. 
 
NCAA DII Institution Biola University won four national championships in the fall and picked up a total of 48 points. The Eagles won the national title in women's golf, men's cross country, women's cross country and women's volleyball for 12 points each. 
 
Grace College, which is the only other team in the Top 10 to compete at all seven national championships, is sitting in third place with 38.5 points. Southwestern Christian is fourth with 30.5 points while Ottawa University rounds out the Top 5 with 29.5. 
 
Campbellsville won the Presidential Award last season for the first time in program history.
