Cristian Perez makes push to round of 16 to lead the Tigers at the ITA Southeast Regional

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – This past weekend, three Tigers worked their way to compete in the ITA Southeast regionals.
 
Play for the Tigers was highlighted by three wins from Cristian Perez, helping him advance to the round of 16. Perez was able to rally for a pair of 6-2 and 6-1 wins to push him into the round of 32.
 
As Perez entered the round of 32, he matched up against the eighth seeded Suvimoistean and he was able to pull off an upset in three games, winning 6-2, 3-6, and 1-0.
 
Matus Sevcik was able to make his way to the round of 32 after a bye and defeating Pescic, 6-2, 6-1.
 
Alberto Perez was the final Tiger participating in the singles tournament, but he was unable to overcome his first-round opponent, falling 7-6, 6-4.
 
In doubles play, Sevcik and Alberto Perez were the lone Tiger duo. While the pair used a bye to advance to the second round, ended up falling to a Georgetown couple 8-6 to end their regional hopes.
