CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – On Friday evening, Tiger swimming hosted a tri-meet that brought Life and Asbury to the Powell Athletic Center.
 
With many improved marks and great teamwork in relays, the Tigers night was highlighted by an event win and school record in the 400-meter freestyle relay. In a relay that consisted of Sebastian Escobar, RJ Harris, Collin McGuire, and Nick Kessler, the relay was able to swim a 3:47.35 to beat Asbury's relay by one second.
 
Escobar was able to score two more event wins in his individual events. In his first event, the 200 freestyle, Escobar was able to swim a season best, narrowly missing breaking the 2-minute barrier, by swimming a 2:00.2. Escobar was also able to put together a season best in the 400-meter freestyle, as he dropped nearly three seconds off of his top mark to swim a 4:15.44 and win the event by over 13 seconds.
 
RJ Harris joined Escobar in the 200-meter freestyle where he was able to score a fourth-place finish, swimming a 2:11.74. On top of this mark, Harris also threw together a runner up performance in the 100-meter freestyle, where he swam a season best 58.55. 
 
Tucker Hardin (59.32) and Kessler (59.97) also swam with Harris in the events as their season best marks led them to fourth and fifth place finishes.
 
McGuire also found some success in his individual events, as swam another season best for the Tigers in the 800 freestyle, finishing second in the event. McGuire was edged out by Hebenstreit of Asbury as his 8:55.34 was .09 seconds behind Hebenstreit. McGuire also was able to finish fourth in the 100-meter butterfly with a 1:04.77.
 
The Tigers will return to action as they host Union College and Lindsey Wilson in another tri-dual meet on November 2^nd.
