CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Tiger basketball returns to the Powell Athletic Center on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET in the midst of a four-game home stand to open the 2019-2020 season.

LAST TIME OUT
- In their season opener against Ohio State-Mansfield, CU used a 24-0 run to open the season and never looked back, taking down the Mavericks, 117-33.
- Campbellsville was able to give valuable minutes to every player dressed, as every player who stepped on the court for CU scored.
- Taiveyhon Mason and Justin Tucker led the Tigers in the scoring column as Mason was able to record 17 points in 13 minutes, and Tucker has 16 points off of the bench. En route to his 17 points, Mason was a perfect 8-8 from the field.
- De'Undra Singleton and Jacob King also tallied double figure scoring with 14 and 11 points from the two. Singleton also led CU with eight boards on the night.
- Campbellsville was able to shoot 63% from the field but showed some struggles from the three-point line and free throw lines as they shot 5-17 from deep and 12-17 from the line.
- Nolan Barrow was also able to use 17 minutes of play to record a career high eight points in the game.
- On the defensive side, CU was able to tally 21 steals while holding the Mavericks to 33 points.
SCOUTING LINDENWOOD UNIVERSITY-BELLEVILLE
- Lindenwood-Belleville enters Saturday's game with an 0-1 record after falling to Lincoln College 71-59 in their season opener.
- In their opening game, the Lynx were led by Christian McCoy who recorded a double-double with 18 points and 24 rebounds, while playing all 40 minutes in their game.
- Addison McNeely was the only other Lynx player to record double digit points in the effort as he picked up 11 in the game.
- Lindenwood-Belleville enters this season after a 4-26 overall record last season.
- Jeff Reis is in his first season coaching the Lynx after he led the Lady Lynx to a 108-80 record since 2013. In his tenure, he set a program record of 22 wins in 2016-2017 taking the ladies team to their first NAIA National Tournament appearance in program history.
HISTORY AGAINST THE LYNX
- The Tigers have matched up with the Lynx three times since 2013, where Campbellsville holds a 1-2 record.
- They met last season where Campbellsville won 90-66 after a 25-3 second half run.
- CU was led in scoring by Stephaun Adams who recorded 18 points, followed by Andrew Smith who had 17 of his own.
- Ronald Taylor was the leading returning scorer for CU who picked up 13 points of his own.
TIGERS RANK 21STENTERING THE YEAR
- As the NAIA released its Preseason Coaches' Poll on Wednesday, Campbellsville earned 76 voting points to be ranked 21stoverall in the poll.
- CU was given this ranking after a 22-10 record and an appearance at the NAIA National Tournament had them ending last season in the receiving votes category of the poll.
- The Tigers will seek to continue to move up the rankings with a hot start to the season, after an 11-0 start last year propelled them as high as fifth in the poll.
POWELL IS THE PLACE TO BE
- Saturday's game will be the second of a four-game set for Campbellsville to open the season at home.
- On the season, the Powell Athletic Center will host 17 games for the Tigers, where head coach Brent Vernon has found tremendous success.
- Throughout his tenure, the Tigers have boasted a 35-11 home record, including a 14-2 record at home last season.
DEPTH OF THE MID-SOUTH CONFERENCE
- After a 7-7 conference record last season, the Tigers were selected to finish fourth in the Mid-South Conference Coaches' Preseason Poll.
- Campbellsville was also selected as the fourth Mid-South Conference team in the NAIA Coaches' Preseason Poll as the conference featured five teams mentioned in the poll.
- Following a national championship last season, Georgetown enters the year earning the overall spot in the national poll, closely followed by Pikeville who was ranked fifth.
- The University of the Cumberlands was also mentioned ahead of Campbellsville in the poll as they earned the 16thspot in the rankings.
- Trailing Campbellsville in the poll is Life University who sits outside of the rankings in the receiving votes category.

MSC ACTION THUS FAR THIS SEASON
- With the season starting up, teams around the MSC are getting their first looks at basketball action as well.
- Pikeville and Shawnee State have each played three games thus far, improving to 3-0.
- Lindsey Wilson has also won their first two games of the season.
- The University of the Cumberlands have had three games thus far and hold a record of 1-2 after falling to Milligan College 67-66 and Indiana University Southeast 77-65.
- All nine teams in the MSC will be in action today, with the top matchup featuring the fifth ranked Pikeville Bears meeting Bethel who sits in the receiving votes category.
UPCOMING FOR CAMPBELLSVILLE
- Campbellsville will start the tournament portion of their schedule on November 8thas they start the Mid-South Conference/Southern States Challenge.
Next weekend, they will face off with Dalton State and Stillman College in the Powell Athletic Center as they host the Road Runners at 7 p.m. ET on Nov. 8
