CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Tiger basketball with head on the road on Tuesday, traveling to Alice Lloyd College for their first game away from the Powell this season at 7:30 p.m. ET.

MSC/SSAC REVIEW
- This past weekend, the Tigers hosted the Mid-South/Southern States Challenge where they dropped both of their games, losing to Dalton State and Stillman College.
- On Friday, CU hosted the Roadrunners of Dalton State, where they got out to a hot start, jumping out to an 18-point first half lead. Nonetheless, hot shooting sparked a second half run from DSC to bring the Roadrunners back in the game.
- As time winded down, with the Tigers down two, Taievyhon Mason drove the length of the court to put up the game tying layup with five seconds remaining.
- With the game tied, DSC then drove the court before Sean Cranney stopped a step inside the arch, banking in the game winning jump shot.
- In Saturday's game, CU hosted the 14th ranked Stillman Tigers, where a second half run, led Stillman to an 88-78 win.
- After a 19-2 run sparked halfway through the first half, CU jumped to a 12-point lead before Stillman was able to bring it to single digits by halftime.
- In the second half Stillman went on a run of their own, shooting 56 percent from the floor to win the ball game.
SCOUTING ALICE LLOYD
- Heading into Tuesday's game, Alice Lloyd holds a record of 2-2, winning their last two games.
- The Eagles' guard, Blake Smith has averaged 28 points per game to lead Alice Lloyd, ranking fifth in NAIA Division II. Smith's season thus far has been highlighted by a 43-point performance in their season opener.
- On the glass, Alice Lloyd is led by Will Philpot who has record 31 boards on the season. His numbers help lead the Eagles to a top 15 ranking in defensive rebounds per game.
- Thus far this year, the Eagles have had their fair share of close contest, as three of their four games have been within seven points.
HISTORY VERSUS THE EAGLES
- In 23 meetings with ALC since 1981, the Tigers hold a record of 18-5 against the Eagles, including winning each of the last three meetings.
- Their last matchup took place last season as Alice Lloyd visited the Powell Athletic Center when CU topped the Eagles 109-79.
- In the meeting, Hagen Tyler led the Tigers with 21 points, while Jacob King has 19 of his own.
- Overall, Campbellsville shot 55.1 percent, while holding the Eagles to 42.4% to move to 5-0.
- The Tigers last visit to Pippas Passes was in December of 2018, as CU took down ALC 94-88 in the meeting.
CU ON THE ROAD
- After a near perfect record at home last season, the Tigers seemed to struggle away from the Powell Athletic Center, holding a 3-4 record away from home in 2018-19.
- With an 11-16 road record, in his career, Coach Vernon and the Tigers will look to turn the tide this season as this is the first of CU's nine road games this year.
TIGERS BY THE NUMBERS
- CU has used their defensive prowess to spark much of their scoring as they rank ninth in scoring defense per game with 61.25 points per game, as well as 18thin turnover margin (5.50) and 18thin steals per game (9.75).
- Individually, Taieyhon Mason has led CU is scoring, assists, and steals, averaging 13.75, 3, and 2.5 on the season. His ten total stills this year rank him 16thin NAIA Division I.
- Jacob King, 11.3 points per game, has gone 8-13 from the 3-point line to rank fifteenth in the NAIA in three-point percentage.
TIGERS RANK 21STENTERING THE YEAR
- As the NAIA released its Preseason Coaches' Poll on Wednesday, Campbellsville earned 76 voting points to be ranked 21stoverall in the poll.
- CU was given this ranking after a 22-10 record and an appearance at the NAIA National Tournament had them ending last season in the receiving votes category of the poll.
- The Tigers will seek to continue to move up the rankings with a hot start to the season, after an 11-0 start last year propelled them as high as fifth in the poll.
DEPTH OF THE MID-SOUTH CONFERENCE
- After a 7-7 conference record last season, the Tigers were selected to finish fourth in the Mid-South Conference Coaches' Preseason Poll.
- Campbellsville was also selected as the fourth Mid-South Conference team in the NAIA Coaches' Preseason Poll as the conference featured five teams mentioned in the poll.
- Following a national championship last season, Georgetown enters the year earning the overall spot in the national poll, closely followed by Pikeville who was ranked fifth.
- The University of the Cumberlands was also mentioned ahead of Campbellsville in the poll as they earned the 16thspot in the rankings.
- Trailing Campbellsville in the poll is Life University who sits outside of the rankings in the receiving votes category.
- So far into the 2019-20 season, the MSC boasts five teams that show undefeated records, with Pikeville leading the way going 6-0.
UPCOMING FOR CAMPBELLSVILLE
- After Tuesday's game, CU will head to Lindsey Wilson College where they will participate in the LWC Classic, playing Oakwood University on Friday and Missouri Baptist on Saturday.
