Tigers have six members named to All-MSC teams

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Prior to the start of the quarter final round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament, the MSC released their 2019 All-Conference Awards at the banquet earlier this evening.
 
The conference awards including MSC All-Conference Teams, Academic All-Conference, Champions of Character Team, as well as the Player and Coach of the Year awards.
 
Campbellsville had six All-Mid-South Conference honorees, with four first team members and two members on the second team.
 
CU's First Team All-Conference selections were Owen Stott, Connor Grant, Tom Edge, and Marc Lawrence.
 
Stott was selected after 42 saves on the season led him to ranking 12thin the NAIA in goals against per game, while helping the ream rank fourth in shutouts per game at 0.63. Throughout the season, Stott's multiple clean sheets helped him each three MSC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
 
Also helping the defensive on first team was Grant. Grant, the Tiger's lead defender earned the honor as he helped CU to ten shutouts on the season, while only allowing 11 goals all season. Grant also recorded three goals for CU.
 
Edge was selected to All-MSC honors for the third time in his career, earning his second first team selection. Edge was honored after he recorded two goals and three assists out of the midfield position. Edge also led CU in shots with 40.
 
Lawrence was honored after he led the Tigers in both goals (8) and assists (4). In 39 shots, Lawrence was able to put 17 on frame helping to lead the Tigers to 45 goals on the season.
 
Earning second team honors was Connor Pugh and Azad Illiozer.
 
Pugh, starting 11 games for CU tallied six goals and two assists on the season. Pugh also put together two game winning goals throughout the year.
 
Illiozer received the honor as he recorded 11 points on the year from four goals and three assists. Illiozer was another consistent presence on the Tiger attack as three of his four goals came as game winning goals.
 
Also, receiving recognition at the MSC banquet was Gospel Kazako, who was the Tiger selection on the Champions of Character Team. The MSC is not selecting an overall winner for the award, but each team will have a nominee as a team member.
 
Campbellsville as had six other selections to the Academic All-Conference list.
 
After winning the regular season championship, Life also received Player of the Year and Coach of the Year honors. Thierry Jules was names MSC Player of the Year, while Alex Pama was named the Coach of the Year.
 
Lindsey Wilson's Neville Morgan and Oscar Dueso were also honored as Defensive Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year.
 
The Tigers will begin their tournament run on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET as they meet Georgetown at Warren East High School in Bowling Green, Ky.
