Landaluce earns the first team nod, with three others selected as NCCAA All-Americans

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Following the conclusion of the soccer championships, the NCCAA released their 2019 award winners, naming four Lady Tigers to All-American teams.
 
Leading the way for CU was freshman defender Naia Landaluce as she was able to earn first-team honors. Jordan Stallings, Sangmin Cha, and Molly Hall also received the nod of the NCCAA being named second-team.
 
Playing on the defensive side of the ball, Landaluce and Stallings helped the Lady Tigers to their 13-7-1 record and NCCAA Semifinal performance, as CU only allowed 18 goals on the year ranking 16thin the NAIA with 11 shutouts on the year. In their three games in the NCCAA Tournament, the Lady Tiger defense also put together shutouts in two of their three matches.
 
In route to her first-team selection, Landaluce, the freshman from Spain was also able to record three goals throughout the season. Landaluce was also named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America Team that combines NCCAA Division I and Division II programs.
 
Stallings, the second-team selection, earned her third NCCAA All-American after third-team her freshman season and first-team a year ago. This season, along with helping the Campbellsville defense, added four goals to end her collegiate career. 
 
Stallings final goal of the year turned out to be a crucial one as the senior swooped in for a header goal to spark the Lady Tiger, 3-0 comeback to force PKs against Ottawa.
 
Hall earned her second NCCAA All-American honors after recording 13 goals for 2019. Along with her 13 goals, Hall added two assists to her totals. Hall's 13 goals help her move up the career list for the Lady Tigers, ranking 3rdwith 38 goals through her junior season.
 
Cha, the final Lady Tiger selection to the NCCAA All-American team, did so after a stellar freshman campaign, leading the team with 10 assists. Cha's assist number, puts her in a tie for 2ndin assists in a season, only two behind Cassie Yanneli's 2011 season. 
 
Along with her assist numbers, Cha added three goals to her stats, to be mentioned for the honor. With excellent ball skills and a pass first mentality, Cha was also named to the NCCAA All-Tournament team.
 
The Lady Tigers finished their season boasting a 13-7-1 record with a semifinal appearance in the NCCAA National Championship and an NAIA Opening Round appearance.
