LAST TIME OUT
The Tigers snapped a four-game losing streak Thursday night at Cumberland University with a 76-69 win over the Phoenix. The win was sealed by a deep Andrew Smith three-pointer with 18 seconds left when Campbellsville was able to take a five-point lead. Smith scored 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for his 10th double-double of the season. Hagen Tyler was also on fire from the field, going 8-for-11 and a perfect 5-for-5 from three on his way to a game-high 21 points. Stephaun Adams also scored 14 for the Tigers with 10 of his 14 coming from the free throw line, including the last four in the game to extend Campbellsville's lead in the final seconds of the game. The Tigers only led once in the first half at 3-0 after the first basket of the game  after shooting only 31-percent in the half. The second half was much more efficient for the Tigers as they shot 57.1-percent from the field and 72.7-percent from long distance.

MSC REWIND
Three of the four road teams won in Mid-South play last night as Campbellsville, Pikeville and Georgetown picked up victories away from home. Life was the only home team to win with their 77-65 victory over Shawnee State. Pikeville beat Cumberlands 66-52 and Georgetown beat Lindsey Wilson in a high scoring affair 104-91.

SCOUTING LINDSEY WILSON
The Blue Raiders have gone 3-2 in conference play since their defeat against Campbellsville on Jan. 12. LWC has wins over Shawnee State, Pikeville and Life with losses to Georgetown on Thursday and Cumberlands on Jan. 24. Lindsey Wilson is averaging 80.2 points in those five games after only scoring 64 against CU last time.

BUNCHED CONFERENCE STANDINGS
So far in Mid-South Conference play, there hasn't been a team to take a significant lead in the standings or a team that has fallen too far behind into last place. Every team has won multiple conference games and lost multiple conference games. The longest winning streak by any team has been a four-game streak by the University of the Cumberlands at four games, however that followed a three-game losing streak as the Patriots currently stand at an even 4-4 conference record. Campbellsville has a similar streak but on the negative side with the longest losing streak in the conference as they just broke a four-game streak with their most recent win at Cumberland.

PREVIOUS MEETING: JAN. 12
The last meeting between Campbellsville and Lindsey Wilson was similar to the game the Tigers just played against Cumberland University. CU held the Blue Raiders under 70 points, Hagen Tyler lead the team in scoring with over 20, Andrew Smith recorded a double-double with Stephaun Adams and Joan Duran being the only other Tigers scoring in double figures. The only differences were that Campbellsville held a lead for most of the game, there were few lead changes, and CU won by double-figures at 82-62.

BREAKING BAD TRENDS
The Tigers were able to shake off some second-half demons in their win against Cumberland University on Thursday. After three-straight games of losing halftime leads, Campbellsville returned the favor after the Phoenix led 29-24 at halftime last night. The Tigers had exceptional shooting percentages in the second half, going 57.1 percent from the field, 72.7 percent from three and a perfect 12-of-12 from the free throw line. Campbellsville was money in the last two minutes of the game, combing shots from the field and from the free throw line the Tigers were a perfect 10-for-10 in the final 3:26 of the game. Hagen Tyler  and Andrew Smith each scored five from the field and Stephaun Adams went a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line.

MATCH-UP TO WATCH - SMITH  VS. ELDRIDGE
A match-up in the post where LWC's Matthew Eldridge got the better of in the first meeting could be the key in Saturday's meeting. In just 10 games played, Eldridge leads the Blue Raiders in blocked shots with 13 and CU's Andrew Smith leads the Tigers averaging two blocks per game, which is second among conference leaders. In the first meeting between these two teams, Eldridge scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds, second on his team in both categories. Smith had one of his lower scoring double-doubles with 11 points and 10 rebounds but Big Drew was able to dish out four assists to none from Eldridge.

CONFERENCE STATICAL LEADERS
At this point in the season, Campbellsville's big three of Stephaun Adams, Hagen Tyler and Andrew Smith are top-two among Mid-South Conference players in a number of different categories. Adams is the league's leader in steals per game (2.4) and assists per game (5.0) while his 18.6 points per game average is good for third in the conference. Tyler is the best three-point shooter in the conference percentage-wise at 51.9 percent and his 19.7 points per game average is second in the conference. Smith is second in three categories in terms of MSC players, rebounds per game (10.6), blocks per game (2.0) and double-doubles (10).

FILING IN QUITE NICELY
Junior guard Ronald Taylor has gotten into the starting lineup for the previous two games, filing in for the recently injured Jacob King. Taylor has shown to be one of CU's better one-on-one defenders as a guard, usually matched up on the opponent's best offensive guard. Thursday night Taylor came through in a big way on the offensive end, going 3-for-3 in three-pointers in the second half. His first two came in back-to-back possessions early in the half to give Campbellsville their first lead since leading 3-0 after the first basket of the game.

TYLER MOVING ON UP
Senior Guard Hagen Tyler currently has 1,812 points scored in his CU career, recently moving into fifth place all by himself on the all-time scoring list. By scoring 20 points against Life on Jan. 17, Tyler passed James Boulware, who had 1,723. The last time he moved spots was when Tyler moved into sixth against in the MSC opener against Georgetown as he scored 14 points, passing Cecil Eillis. Hagen entered the top-10 in scoring all-time in CU history in the season opener against Kentucky Christian. He has moved up three spots prior to that, two spots in two games as he passed Marcio Kardosh with his 20-point game on Nov. 23 then followed it up with 21 the next night to pass Ramont Smith.

UP NEXT
CU will begin a four-game home stand that will take place over the next three weeks starting next Thursday against University of the Cumberlands.
