Tigers return home for Mid-South match-up against Midway University

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – CU men's volleyball will return to Gosser Gymnasium Tuesday night to host Midway University for a conference match at 7 p.m. ET.

The Tigers suffered two losses last weekend at Life University to the Running Eagles on Friday and then to St. Andrews on Saturday morning. The match against Life was a 3-0 sweep in the favor of the Running Eagles and St. Andrews returned the favor with a 3-1 win over CU after Campbellsville beat the Knights by the same score two weeks ago.

Over the weekend, between the matches against Life and St. Andrews, head coach Eric Snyder made the call to move Jason Camacho to setter. Camacho leads the Tigers with 123 kills as one of only two CU attackers with over 100 kills so far and now has 96 assists.

The Eagles of Midway are 1-2 in their inaugural season as a program season so far as they suffered the same losses last weekend that CU did, to Life and St. Andrews. Their win came in their season opener against Milligan College on Jan. 31 as they won in five sets.

MU's attack is led by Victory Pietro who has 57 kills so far this season with an astounding 28 in their opening win against Milligan. Primary setter Gavin-James Andaya has 54 assists so far on the season with 26 in the match against Milligan.

Tuesday's meeting against Midway will be the Tigers only match this week as they will stay home to host another conference match against Cincinnati Christian next Wednesday.
