Five Lady Tigers earn First or Second Team All Mid-South Conference honors

PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Mid-South Conference officials announced the All-Conference teams for the women's basketball programs and Campbellsville University had five Lady Tigers mentioned on both teams.

Savannah Gregory, Caitlin Hall, Madison Stewart and Madison Faulkner all earned First-Team honors. Jordan Doram was named to the Second-Team.

These five Lady Tigers led Campbellsville to its 14thMid-South Conference Regular Season Championship with a 14-0 record and 28-2 overall.

Two of the five have slowly chipped away at the single-season and career marks for assists and steals. Caitlin Hall has 217 assists on the year – which is fourth in a single-season. Her 393 assists are ninth in CU history. Savannah Gregory has swiped a team-high 126 steals – which is six away from breaking the single-season record set by Beth Grant in 1994-95 with 132.

The other three are the ultimate scorers on the team. Doram and Stewart both eclipsed 1,000 points this season and Faulkner is well on her way as she has 872 points in her career.

Gregory has transformed herself into one of the best defensive players in the country. At the top of the Lady Tigers' twilight zone defense, she ranks second in the NAIA with 126 steals and fifth with 4.2 steals per game.

Averaging 12.5 points per game, grabbing 5.8 rebounds and having an assist/turnover ratio ranked 16thin the NAIA (1.9), Gregory was second in the Conference Player of the Year voting behind Lindsey Wilson's Raegan Turner.

She finished the year hitting 56 percent from the floor (129-of-231) and hit 36 percent from 3-point land (24-of-66).

In addition to her four Player of the Week honors, Gregory wrote her name in the CU record books with the second triple double in coach Ginger High Colvin's tenure. Against Life University, she poured in 17 points, added 10 rebounds and 10 steals in the Lady Tigers' 85-52 win. Gregory recorded the triple-double in only 23 minutes of action.

Madison Faulkner has been stellar for the Lady Tigers as well. She leads the team by averaging 13.6 points and six rebounds per game. On the season, she's tallied double figures in 22 of the 30 games, including 14 of the last 16 games.

Faulkner finished with a career-high 29 points vs. Loyola University in the MSC-Southern States Challenge. She also finished with a season-high 10 boards against Faulkner University where she tallied 17 points and 10 boards for her only double-double this season.

Averaging only 5.9 points per game, Caitlin Hall has transformed herself into the best point guard in the country. She's the ultimate team player by getting others involved and dishing out 7.2 assists per game. Her 217 assists rank No. 1 in the NAIA, along with her 7.2 dimes per game.

Hall finished the season with seven double-figure assist games, including a career-high 13 dimes twice vs. Martin Methodist and Cumberland University.

The true leader for Lady Tiger basketball, Madison Stewart is averaging 11 points and 5.2 rebounds overall. She tallied a career-high 29 points vs. University of the Cumberlands and Shawnee State University. In addition, Stewart has added a solid 3-point shooting weapon to her game this season and is hitting 41 percent from deep (20-of-49).

She eclipsed the 1,000-point barrier with a half-court shot at the buzzer to end the first quarter against Lindsey Wilson in January.

Jordan Doram, better known as Big Fella to the Lady Tigers, has been huge for CU this season in the paint. A true post, Doram is averaging 11.3 points and hitting 60 percent from inside the paint.

In the last eight games, Doram has totaled double figures in seven of those, including a 20-point contest vs. Georgetown College on Feb. 14 when the Lady Tigers clinched the regular season title.

The Lady Tigers, who claimed their 14thMSC regular season championship, open the tournament on Friday morning at 10 a.m. ET. All games will be played at the East Ky. Expo Center in Pikeville.
