Lady Tiger basketball hosts University of the Cumberlands on Thursday night

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Seeking their first Mid-South Conference regular season title since the 2014-15 year, Campbellsville women's basketball has five regular season games remaining – four of them at home – and it all starts on Thursday night. 
 
The Lady Tigers host University of the Cumberlands on Thursday night with tipoff at 6 p.m. ET. Coverage begins on the CU Sports Network at 5:45. 
 
Campbellsville (23-2, 9-0 MSC) has a 2.5 lead over Shawnee State University in the standings with five games remaining on the schedule. 

Campbellsville rallied against the Patriots in their first matchup with a 75-68 win. CU trailed 33-24 going into halftime and flipped that by out-scoring Cumberlands, 51-35, in the second half. Thursday marks the final regular season meeting between the two programs and also corporate sponsor night for Campbellsville University athletics.
 

Series Facts:
  • CU and UC are meeting for the 108thtime in program history. CU leads the series 71-36.
  • CU won the first-ever meeting between the two in the 1976-77 season, 56-47.
  • Coach Ginger High Colvin finished with a 18-9 record versus former coach Melissa Irvin and Cumberlands.
  • Thursday is the second meeting between Coach High Colvin and Coach Rick Reeves.
  • In the Coach High Colvin era, the Lady Tigers are 8-4 while playing in Williamsburg the last 12 years. While playing in the Powell Athletic Center, the Lady Tigers boasts a 9-2 record over UC.
  • The two have met six times in the MSC Tourney in the Colvin era and CU has a 2-4 record in that span.
Stewart eclipses 1,000 points in grand fashion:
  • Senior Madison Stewart eclipsed 1,000-career points in grand fashion on Saturday vs. Lindsey Wilson. 
  • Trailing 10-9 with 3 seconds left on the first quarter clock, Stewart hit a half-court heave at the buzzer to put the Lady Tigers ahead, 12-10 - which was a lead they never let go of. 
  • Stewart was the 35th Lady Tiger to surpass 1,000-career points. 
  • She now has 1,004 career points, 406 rebounds and 166 assists.

  • Hall ranks No. 1 in the NAIA with 188 assists and 7.5 assists per game. 
  • Her 2.89 assist to turnover ratio ranks No. 4 in the NAIA. 
  • In her career, Hall has 364 assists - which is ninth in LTB history.
  • Her 188 assists this season sit behind former All-American Shannon Wathen's 189 set in 1996-97. 
  • She is also five assists from passing LeeAnn Grider's 192 set in 2015-16 and 17 to pass Katie Allen's mark of 204 in 2012-13. 
Gregory moving up ranks in steals:
  • Redshirt sophomore Savannah Gregory has been one of the best defenders for the Lady Tigers. 
  • She ranks third in the NAIA with 98 steals and fifth by averaging 3.9 steals per game. 
  • Gregory is currently fifth on all-time list for single-season steals with 98. She is 34 short from surpassing Beth Grant's mark of 132 set in 1994-95.
Scouting Cumberlands:
  • The Patriots have hit a wall in the new year as UC has lost nine straight games.
  • UC's last win came to Carver College on Jan. 3, 98-47.
  • The Patriots have an 0-9 record in conference play.
  • Shayla Simpson leads the way with 14.8 points per game, while Jasmine Rhodes is picking up 7.9 rebounds per game.
  • The Patriots travel to Georgetown College on Saturday before hosting Life University next Thursday.
Tiger Clawz:
  • The last time Campbellsville won at Reinhardt University and Shawnee State University in the same season, they Lady Tigers went to NAIA national finals.
  • The Lady Tigers have had six MSC Players of the Week this year from four different players. No other school has more than three honors.
  • Jordan Doram became the 35th Lady Tiger to score 1,000+ points in her career. She reached the mark on Dec. 28 against Mobile.
  • Madison Stewart scored her 1,000th point with a half court shot against Lindsey Wilson on Feb. 2.
  • Coach Ginger High Colvin coached in her 400th game against Lindsey Wilson on Jan. 12th.
  • Coach Colvin has an overall record of 325-81. 
  • CU enters its 45th season and has an overall record of 985-361.
  • Campbellsville is a perfect 13-0 when the Lady Tigers score over 90 points this season.
  • CU is also a perfect 9-0 while playing at home. The home winning streak is currently set at 13 games.
  • CU has a 7-0 record while playing on the road and 7-2 at neutral sites.
  • When CU leads at halftime, it has a 21-0 record.
  • CU is 15-0 against unranked teams this year – its lone to losses came against No. 4 Columbia and NAIA DII No. 25 St. Francis.
  • Since the St. Francis loss, the Lady Tigers loss, CU has rallied off nine straight wins to set its longest streak this season.
