Box Score BOWLING GREEN, KY.- The Tigers advance to the MSC Championship Saturday evening after defeating Life University in a five set thriller, 3-2.

Rafael Cruz and
Jason Camacho led the Tigers with over 20 kills a piece. Cruz had 23, while Camacho finished with 21. The Tigers came out firing on all cylinders early in the match winning the first set 25-11.  CU registered a .429 hitting percentage in that opening frame and held Life to a -0.42 hitting percentage.

The Running Eagles came back with a run themselves early in the second set and knotted the match at 1-1 after winning 25-20. The two clubs went back and forth the next two sets with Campbellsville winning the third set 28-26, and Life won the fourth set 25-22.

In the fifth set the Tigers fell behind early at the break down 9-6. From there the Tigers went on a 5-0 run and gained an 11-9 lead over the Running Eagles.Â

Defensively
Joudiel Poveymirow led the Tigers with 19 digs while the team recorded 44 total in the match. Freshman
Noah Henkel was able to earn 11 block assists from the match while leading the club to 28 total block assists on the day.

Campbellsville will have a quick turnaround before the championship as they will face St. Andrews. St. Andrews defeated Cumberland University earlier this morning in straight sets, 3-0. The first is scheduled to go off at 7 p.m. CT at Bowling Green High School.
