CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Coming off of a 2-0 win over Rio Grande last Tuesday, Campbellsville University women's soccer will hit the road Monday night to take on Bethel University.
The game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. CT in McKenzie, Tenn. as CU will look to hand the Wildcats their first loss of the season.
HIGH POWERED FACE-OFF
- Both Campbellsville and Bethel have a solid offensive attack as the Lady Tigers have scored 36 goals in six games with the Wildcats posting 28 goals in six games.
- BU and CU have each put up double-digit goals in a game this season with Bethel winning 10-0 over Bryan College and Campbellsville having a pair of 12-0 wins so far this season.
- On average, both teams score over four goals per game with the Lady Tigers averaging six goals per game and the Wildcats average is over four goals per game at 4.67.
- Both teams have individuals with high goal totals with six being the team-high for CU as Molly Hall leads the way and Janine Dennis for BU has 13 goals so far in 2019, which is sixth in the NAIA.
LIMITING OPPOSING OFFENSES
- Campbellsville has been able to keep their goalkeepers free of stress as the combination of Katelyn Young and Syndey Pinkham have only been forced to make five total saves this season.
- In total, CU has allowed less total shots (14), than Bethel's goalie, Shanay Ricketts, has made saves (18) through six games on the year.
- Though the Wildcats have allowed more shots this season, Bethel has only allowed two total goals to only one by CU so far on the year, including a shutout 0-0 tied to No. 18 Cumberland University.
LOOKING AHEAD
- Campbellsville will stay on the road this week as they will head back into the state of Tennessee for a meeting with Martin Methodist on Saturday Sept. 28.
- The game, in Pulaski, Tenn., will start at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT as the Redhawks will head into the match-up ranked No. 9 in the NAIA Coaches' Poll.
