BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – On Saturday, the Lady Tiger cross-country team opened up their season at the Mid-South Conference Preview meet with a second place team finish.
In her collegiate debut,
Hailey Stallings led the way for Campbellsville as her 19:17, was enough for a third place overall finish. Stallings was in the group leading the race before Maleah Chumley from University of the Cumberlands gapped the pack after mile two. Stallings' time was enough to place her third all-time in Campbellsville Lady Tiger history.
Following Stallings, it was two trios that helped pack the Lady Tigers to their runner-up performance. The first pack consisted of
Miranda Rzendzian,
Hailey Shank (20:33), and
Mia Rodriguez (20:41). The senior, Rzendzian helped pull this group along to top ten finishes as the trio finished 8
th, 9
th, and 10
th, respectively. Rzendzian seems to make massive strides this season as her time of 20:23 was an 80 second improvement from this time last year.
The trio that rounded out the scoring for CU was Katelyn Pizzo,
Madeline Rhoads, and
Ashlyn Elmore. Strategically, this grouped packed well together as six seconds separated the three. Pizzo, in her first race back from a hip injury last year was able to put together a time of 21:45 and 20
thplace finish. One second separated Rhoads (21:50) and Elmore (21:51) as they capitalized on 21

thplace finish. Maxwell (23:24) and Coleman (24:01) were able to finish in 39
