COLUMBIA, Ky. – Campbellsville University men's swimmer had a strong showing last Saturday against Bethel University and particularly freshman Sebastian Escobar as the Mid-South Conference announced Escobar as the Men's Swimmer of the Week Monday afternoon.
 
Escobar earned two individual wins and helped the Tigers win two relays against the Wildcats at the Powell Athletic Center Swimming Pool on Saturday as CU came away with a dual win on the team's senior day.
 
His two individual wins came in the 200-meter freestyle as he finished with a time of 2:05.13 that was followed by a 4:41.54 in the 400-meter freestyle. He also swam in the 200-medley relay where Campbellsville won the event with a time of 1:59.56 as CU also put up an 8:48.16 with Escobar helping put up the school record time.
 
This is the second weekly honor from the Mid-South Conference for the Cali, Colombia native as he has shown to be a strong member of the Tigers swim team in only his first season at Campbellsville.
 
Campbellsville men's swimming will have one remaining regular season event before the postseason as they will head to Columbia, Ky. for a dual against Lindsey Wilson College next Saturday.
