CU begins second half of MSC schedule as Life visits the Powell Athletic Center

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Life University visits the Powell Athletic Center on Thursday to begin the Tiger's second time facing each MSC opponent. 
 
After a 20 point win in their first meeting, CU will look for a repeat performance to end the four game losing spell and start the second half of MSC play on the right note. The battle for position in teh MSC is a tough as ever. Boasting a 3-5 record in the MSC play, CU is currently in a five-way tie for the fourth spot, meaning each game is crucial.
 
 

HOW TO WATCH SERIES FACTS
  • As the Running Eagles visit the Powell Athletic Center on Thursday, Life and Campbellsville will be meeting for the 18th time in the program's history.
  • Campbellsville currently leads the series holding a 10-7 record over Life.
  • In Powell, Campbellsville has boasted a 5-3 record with the Running Eagles.
  • In their previous meeting this season, the Tigers put together a complete performance in route to their 69-49 win.
  • After a huge first half, for Alston Davis, as he outscored Life on his own accord, the Tigers entered the break with a 36-15 advantage.
  • Davis picked up 16 of his career-high 19 points through the first half of play with four 3-pt baskets.
 
SCOUTING THE RUNNING EAGLES
  • After starting their season with nine-straight wins, Life has struggled through the second half of the season going 1-11 in their last 12 games.

DEFENSE SPARKS THE TIGERS
  • Campbellsville has found their success when defense plays strong, as they are 13-6 when holding opponents to under 50% shooting and 12-3 when opponents shoot less than 35% from three.
