Tigers top season-high hitting percentage on their way to another sweep

Box Score LAURINBURG, N.C. –The Tigers closed out their second trip in a week to the Carolinas with another sweep over the Eagles of Reinhardt.
 
Campbellsville (16-2, 4-0 MSC) used a season-high hitting percentage mark to easily take the first three sets, 25-14, 25-13, 25-16, over Reinhardt (4-9, 0-2 MSC).
 
On the day, it was a season best mark of .532 on 38-62 to prevailed CU to its win. This was just the second time the Tigers topped a .500 hitting percentage. Along with their 38-kill mark, the Tigers limited their error count to five.
 
Campbellsville started their day with two extremely efficient sets hitting at a rate of .706 in the first and .611 in the second set, entering the third with just two errors on the night.
 
Yannik Ahr once again led the Tigers with nine kills, but was closely followed by Ramon Matos who recorded eight. Ahr and Matos hit around the .500 mark as Ahr attacked at 0.438 and Matos limited his error count to one.
 
The most efficient nights came at the helm of Nils Kleinschmidt, Rafael Cruz, and Jose Viera who recorded a combined 14 kills with no errors.
 
Kleinschmidt and Cruz were able to pick up five kills apiece, as Kleinschmidt did his damage with a perfect 5-5 hitting night.
 
Viera tallied a career high four kills on five attack opportunities.
 
The setting duo of Jeremy Hernandez and Ryan Smith were able to combine for 33 assists to set up the outstanding Tiger attack.
 
On the defensive side, CU was led by John Montalvo on the back line with 11 of the team's 23 digs. 
 
In the front line, Kleinschmidt was able to flex his muscle as his led the Tigers with six blocks for a new season high.
 
Campbellsville limited Reinhardt to hitting .047 with 9.5 blocks on their way to their fourth MSC win.
 
The Tigers will return home on Tuesday, Feb. 18th for another Mid-South Conference battle with Midway University at 7 p.m. ET.
