Tiger tennis remains at No. 21 for third NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The third NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll was released on Wednesday and Campbellsville University ranked No. 21 for the second straight week. 
 
The Tigers earned 125 voting points from the national raters after starting the year 4-5. 
 
CU is one of three teams in the Mid-South Conference that rank in the Top 21 as Lindsey Wilson ranks 10thand University of the Cumberlands is 13th. Cumberland University dropped from the poll this week to receiving votes at No. 27. 
 
Georgia Gwinnett continues to be ranked No. 1 for the 49th-straight poll after starting 11-0 overall. The rest of the Top 5 stayed the same as well – Xavier University is No. 2, Cardinal Stritch is third, William Carey is fourth and Reinhardt is fifth. 
 
CU, which is 4-5 on the year, hosts Brescia University on Saturday, March 14 at the Kelly Hall Tennis Complex.
 
Top 25 Notes:
  • Marian (Ind.) and Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) both made a two point jump, signaling the largest of the week.
  • Crossroads League champion Indiana Wesleyan own the best record at 28-1. The Wildcats swept the competition at the Spring Break ACU Invitational, defeating three nationally-ranked opponents in Arizona Christian, San Diego Christian (Calif.) and Hope International (Calif.).
  • Four teams in the top six remain undefeated (Georgia Gwinnett, William Carey, Reinhardt and Middle Georgia State).
  • No. 7 Xavier (La.) extends the longest consecutively-active streak in the poll with 107 straight appearances.
