Lady Tiger quartet pick up All Mid-South Conference honors

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Mid-South Conference officials announced the women's basketball all-conference teams at the awards banquet Thursday evening at the Lady Tigers had four honorees named to the teams.

Madison Faulkner, Caitlin Hall, and Savannah Gregory earned First-Team honors, while Lexy Lake was named to the Second Team.

These four Lady Tigers helped aid CU to their 28-2 overall record and 14-2 record inside conference play in route to their 15th Mid-South Conference Regular Season title.

Each of the first team honorees have had their names all over the Lady Tiger record books in numerous statistical categories.

Faulkner has consistently shown her pure scoring ability as her 17.67 points per game lead Campbellsville and rank her third in the Mid-South Conference.

Despite lacking size for her post presence, Faulker has been a consistent throw scoring in double digits in 29 of the 30 Lady Tiger games and scoring 20+ points in nine outings.

Early in the season against Simmons College, Faulkner was able to become a member of the 1,000-point club, as she currently sits with 1,464 points to rank 16th on the all-time scoring list for CU.

Dishing the ball to Faulkner for many of her points, Hall has sealed her name as one of the truest point guards to come through the Lady Tiger program.

Hall has helped to lead the Lady Tigers to the NAIA's No. 2 ranking in total assists, with 160 of Campbellsville's 564 on the season. Individually, she ranks eighth in the NAIA.

In her career, Hall has stunned fans with prolific passing abilities, accumulating 581 assists thus far to rank third in the career record books for CU. Hall was able to pass the 500 mark against Fisk University on Dec. 14.

Along with her assist numbers, Hall has increased her scoring mark from 4.7 ppg last year to 7.2 this season, while also averaging 8.25 in MSC play.

Defensively, Gregory has proven to be one of the best defensive players in the country and the top in the Mid-South Conference as she just received her second MSC Defensive Player of the Year award.

Averaging three steals per game to total 90 on the season, Gregory currently ranks 11th in the NAIA in those categories.

Previously this season, Gregory was able to surpass the 300-career steal mark, with a current total of 318. Gregory currently ranks third on the all-time Lady Tiger steals list and is 46 steals away from surpassing Bonita Scott for the program's top mark.

Along with the defensive numbers, Gregory, the Lady Tigers second leading scorer joined Campbellsville's 1,000-point club in the midst of a 26-point season high night against Georgetown.

Gregory has been able to lead Campbellsville in rebounds per game (5.97), steals per game (3.0), and blocks per game (0.63), while using 13.7 points per game to rank second on the team.

Lake has shown her pure shooting ability with 87 made three pointers this season, ranking sixth in the country. Along with her total numbers, Lake has shot the ball at a 42.4% clip for the fourth best percentage in the NAIA.

The sophomore guard has made her living behind the line with 87 of her 104 made baskets on the season have come by way of the Edwards Jones triple.

Averaging 10 points per game, her top performance game in a three-point explosion against Cumberland University as she made nine triples tied the program record for threes in a game. Lake finished with 29 points in that game.

This quartet will seek to lead Campbellsville through the Mid-South Conference tournament for another MSC title, beginning with Life University on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. ET at Bowling Green High School.
