Five Tigers earn All-American honors; Campbellsville sits in seventh place at NAIA Championship

WICHITA, Kansas — Five of the 10 Tigers remain in the consolation brackets and are wrestling for third-place at the NAIA Championship on Saturday.
 
Campbellsville entered the tournament with 10 wrestlers competing for titles but only half remain after Day 1 finished late on Friday night. 
 
Jordan Martinez (125), Michael Diemer (149), Mahlic Sallah (174), Zach Linton (197) and Ashton Mutuwa (285) all remain in the consolation brackets and earned NAIA All-American honors. 
 
As a team, the Tigers sit in seventh place out of the 53 teams at the championship with 41.5 points. Grand View leads the way with 113 points overall to sit ahead of Reinhardt University by 55.5 points. 

Four Tigers earned 7.5 points individually - Martinez led the way with four wins in five matches on Friday, while Sallah, Linton, and Mutuwa earned three wins in their four matches.
