CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – On Tuesday, the Mid-South Conference released its season award winners, naming Tiger volleyball coach
Eric Snyder is the Mid-South Conference's Coach of the Year.
After a 23-2 record going 9-0 in MSC play, Snyder was able to lead the Tigers to their first No. 1 overall ranking in the NAIA.
Opening the season with back-to-back wins over No. 2 Missouri Baptist and No. 3 Grand View, Campbellsville was able to complete straight set sweeps in 18 of their 25 matches, dropping just one set in Mid-South Conference play.
Snyder also aided Campbellsville to their first ever NCCAA National Invitational tournament victory.
Among teams in the Mid-South Conference, Campbellsville led the way in five major statistical categories with a hitting percentage of .277, 1048 kills, 977 assists, 150 aces, and 191 blocks.
Snyder was also responsible for the Tigers six selections to All Mid-South Conference teams and six more athletes picking up all-academic honors, both of which led MSC institutions. Snyder also coached the Libero and Player of the Year as
John Montalvo received those honors.
Coach Snyder closed the season with an overall record of 100-51, going 55-11 in two seasons at Campbellsville.
