CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Another New Jersey native signs on to join the Campbellsville University men's basketball team for the 2020-21 season as Taj Price confirms his transfer to CU.
 
Price is a Newark, N.J. native and will be a graduate eligible forward for the Tigers after playing three seasons at NCAA Division I, New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), from 2016-2019. Price spent the 2019-20 away from official competition while staying in shape to retain his final season of eligibility.
 
"Taj can play both post positions, he runs the floor extremely well, has a good mid-range game, and is a very good athlete," head coach Brent Vernon said. "He will complement our team extremely well."
 
In his three seasons at NJIT, Price saw limited playing time for the Highlanders as he played in 33 games to average about a basket and a rebound per game. His highest minutes average came in his sophomore season in 2017-18 where he played over six minutes per game, shooting 46.7% from the field and 86.7% from the free throw line.
 
"During his time at NJIT he didn't get the opportunities he was looking for," Vernon said. "We were fortunate enough to land him for his last year of competition and I expect his last year of college basketball to be his best year."
 
Price joins Jay'von Jackson from St. Mary of the Assumption/Felican University, Plainfield, N.J., and Brayden Sebastian from Garrard County High School, Lancaster, Ky. on the 2020-21 men's basketball signing class.
