CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Tigers hosted a tri-match with Asbury University and Lindsey Wilson College for senior day at the Powell Athletic Center Pool. Campbellsville split the meet with a defeat of 115.50-89.50 against the Asbury Eagles and a loss of 51-136 against the Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders.
The men began competition with a 400-meter medley relay.
Llewellyn Crewe-Brown,
Israel Kolomiyets,
Sebastian Escobar, and
Ian Lopez trailed Lindsey Wilson by two seconds with a second-place finish of 4:06.99. The next event was the 200-meter freestyle where Nick Burnison ensued both the Eagles and the Raiders with a top-three finishing time of 9:41.75.
The next two men's events were personal wins for the Tigers. Escobar came out on top with a first-place time of 1:59.16 during the 200-meter freestyle. Teammate Lopez was victorious during the 50-meter freestyle with a finish of 24.55.
The fighting Tigers displayed more top-three finishes with Crewe-Brown's time of 1:03.70 in the 100-meter backstroke. Campbellsville rose to the number one spot in the 100-meter backstroke as Kolomiyets placed a time of 1:10.37.
Campbellsville took second place with a 1:39.78 finish as Escobar, Lopez, Grabauskas, and Crewe-Brown competed in the 200-meter freestyle relay.
The Tigers return to the water Saturday, November 6
th at Union College beginning at 12 p.m. ET. Campbellsville will be reappearing alongside Lindsey Wilson College against the Union College Bulldogs.
