GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Lady Tigers were able to bounce onto
Emma Steff and
Hailey Shank's lifetime best performances to place 22
nd at the NAIA Great Lakes Invitational.
Emma Steff had herself a day up in Michigan this morning. Steff set a new PR of 19:04.50 this morning placing 67
th overall. Steff was able to run a one second PR when she ran a 19:05 on the track back in the spring at the NCCAA Championships. Steff also makes her way into the 5K Top 10 list passing teammate
Hailie LaMar for fifth on the list.
Hailey Shank was also able to have a big day in her home state. She ran a 45 second PR running a 19:17.20. She placed 82
nd overall and moves up to eighth on the Campbellsville 5K Top 10 list. Still working back from injury is
Hailie LaMar who was able to dip under the 20-minute mark for the first time this season. LaMar ran a season best time of 19:43.90.
T'lea Scott was the fourth man in the overall performances for the Lady Tigers. Scott ran a 20:31 on the day while placing 149
th.
Maggie Lockard was able to join the PR fun this morning when she rounded out the scoring for the Lady Tigers running a 20:37.90.
Nina Daman was able to come in as the sixth man this morning. Daman was close behind Lockard at 20:40.60. Racing for the first time since Sept. 18 was
Marlena Sipes. Sipes came in as the seventh man for the Lady Tigers running a PR of 21:27.20.
Madison Welch was the final harrier in for Campbellsville. Welch ran two seconds faster than her lifetime best with a new best time of 22:03.30.
Campbellsville was able to have five new lifetime bests on the day. Overall in the standings Campbellsville ran the second fastest time in program history averaging a 19:50.90 overall. They kept their 1-5 spread at a season low time of 1:23.
The Lady Tigers will now have two weeks to prepare for the Mid-South Conference Championships on November 5
th. That race will be held in Bowling Green, KY at Phil Moore Park.
