BOWLING GREEN, KY – Lady Tigers were able to finish in the top half of the race Friday afternoon placing 5
th overall at the Mid-South Conference Championships.
Hailey Shank was the top Lady Tiger in today with her second team all-conference finish at 13
th place. Shank ran a time of 19:51.4. Finishing close behind Shank was
T'lea Scott. Scott placed 22
nd overall runner a time of 20:22.2.
Sophomore duo
Hailie LaMar and
Emma Steff were able to finish back-to-back this afternoon. LaMar placed 31
st overall with her time of 20:41.4 while Steff came in close behind at 32
nd place running a time of 20:42.8.
Nina Daman rounded out the Lady Tigers top five harriers. Daman finished 42
nd overall with a time of 21:10.2. Fifth year senior
Maggie Lockard was right behind Daman at 43
rd place with her time of 21:11.7.
Marlena Sipes was the final Lady Tiger to bring in scoring numbers for the team. Sipes placed 61
st in the race clocking a time of 22:06.1.
Madison Welch was the final harrier in for the team. Welch placed 84
th in the race with her time of 23:45.
University of the Cumberlands was able to win their second team title in a row this season. Shawnee State has been the perineal power over the last ten years but the Patriots have taken the crown the past two seasons.
The Lady Tigers will look to finish off the season next weekend at the NCCAA National Championship.
