TIGER NOTES
- Campbellsville is looking to snap a three-game losing streak that followed a three-game winning streak as they currently sit at 9-14 overall and 7-13 in Mid-South Conference play.
- Prior to Thursday's weather-related cancelation against Thomas More, the Tigers had either played their originally scheduled game or made up all of their postponed conference games, not losing a single MSC game this season to COVID-19 related issues.
- Heading into the final game of the regular season, CU sits in 10th place in the Mid-South Conference, which would place them in a road matchup at Pikeville to open the MSC Tournament next weekend if current placements held.
- Mason remains nearing a potential milestone of finishing a season averaging 20 or more points for the season, he is currently at 19.3 and will need to put up some big numbers in the final few games to reach that mark.
SCOUTING SHAWNEE STATE
- The Bears clinched the regular season championship inside of the conference as they currently sit at 22-2 overall and 17-1 inside of the MSC as the No. 6 ranked team in the NAIA.
- In their earlier matchup this season on Jan. 9, the Tigers and Bears played it close through 20 minutes with a 54-52 SSU lead at halftime before Shawnee State outscored CU 52-34 in the second half.
- Six different players for the Bears scored in double figures, led by 17 from Thomas Miles off the bench as Issac Abergut (15), James Jones (14), Latavious Mitchell (14), Amier Gilmore (13), and EJ Onu (12) all had strong games for Shawnee State.
- The one-two punch of Jones and Onu have stood out to help carry Shawnee State to their strong record as Jones is averaging 19.6 points per game and Onu scores 17.5 points per game while grabbing 7.9 rebound per game and blocking 4.0 shots per game.
LOOKING AHEAD
- According to the Mid-South Conference standings, there's still plenty of movement that could happen but if standings hold to current placement, the Tigers will face Pikeville on the road in the MSC Opening Round.
