BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – This past Friday, the Mid-South Conference announced the basketball All-MSC teams for the 2020-21 season prior to the start of the quarterfinals of the conference tournament as four members of the Campbellsville University women's basketball team earned the seasonal honor.
The four Lady Tigers were seniors
Savannah Gregory and
Sammy Rogers as well as junior
Lexy Lake, and redshirt sophomore
Courtney Pritchett. Gregory and Rogers earned spots on the First Team as Lake and Pritchett cemented spots on the second team.
For Gregory, this marks the fourth-straight season that she earned All-MSC honors with this season marking the third-straight time she earned a First Team selection after being named to the Second Team in her redshirt freshman season. The two-way player finished the 2020-21 regular season averaging 13.4 points per game and led CU with 5.1 rebounds per game while also averaging 3.4 steals per game on the defensive end.
Rogers took the biggest step forward on the court in her senior season going from averaging 9.6 points per game last season to leading the team with 17.0 points per game in 2020-21. The 6-0 forward with guard skills could finish inside along with a sharp shooter's mentality from three-point range as she shot 51.0 percent from the field, 43.5 percent from behind the three-point arc, and 78.4 percent from the free-throw line.
Speaking of sharp shooters, Lake plays that role effectively for CU as she averaged just shy of 10 points per game at 9.8 for the second-straight season while taking the highest quantity of three-point shots on the team. In her second-straight season earning Second Team honors, Lake had a slightly down year percentagewise from deep, finishing the regular season shooting 38.5 percent (40-104) from three-point distance.
Pritchett, a do-it-all forward, finished her second on-court season with the Lady Tigers averaging 8.3 points per game, 4.7 rebounds per game, and 4.0 assists per game. A naturally unselfish player on the floor, Pritchett could get her shot when it's needed and on the defensive end, is always willing to take a shot to try and draw a charge.
Campbellsville is headed to the semifinals of the Mid-South Conference Tournament as they will take on Lindsey Wilson College on Monday at 3:30 p.m. ET/2:30 p.m. CT at Bowling Green Arena.
