No. 20 Tigers can't hold down No. 2 Lindsey Wilson in final three weight classes

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Three straight wins at 184, 197, and 285 pounds secured No. 2 Lindsey Wilson's come-from-behind win over No. 20 Campbellsville on Saturday night, 22-14.
 
The Tigers (5-2, 2-2 MSC) picked up bonus points at 165 pounds as Gavin Smith major'd John lee, 9-1. Then it was No. 2 Mahlic Sallah earning a major decision over Austin Deffenbaugh, 19-7, pushing Campbellsville's lead to five points, 14-9, with three matches left. 
 
The Tigers had all the momentum, but it was Lindsey Wilson (12-0, 5-0 MSC) having No. 5 Tyler Hall, No. 2 Trevor Lawson and No. 1 Brandon Reed waiting in the final three weight classes and the three didn't disappoint. 
 
Hall beat David Richardson 5-1 to put CU's team lead at two points, 14-12, then it was Lawson winning 8-0 over Jaden Sonner to give the Blue Raiders a 15-14 lead. 
 
At 285, Brandon Reed pinned Alex Coleman in 40 seconds to hand the Blue Raiders their second straight bonus point victory. 
 
With the win, Lindsey Wilson claims the Mid-South Conference North Division Regular Season title. Both teams will now prepare for the MSC Tournament scheduled to begin Friday, Feb. 19 in Bowling Green, Ky.
