CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – In a brief return home to the Kelly Hall Tennis Complex in the middle of five road duals, the Campbellsville University men's tennis team earned a 7-0 win over Brescia University for their third-straight victory.
The Tigers didn't lose a single match in both doubles and singles play and only lost one set in the entire dual to earn all seven points against the Bearcats.
The doubles teams of
Raul Safont and
Mario Sanchez at No. 1,
Nicolas Verdu and
Yuto Shimotuji at No. 2, and
Matus Sevcik and
Grayson Cullen at No. 3 all won with the No. 2 and No. 3 teams earning 6-0 victories.
Safont, Sevcik, Sanchez, and Shimotuji all played in singles competition at No. 1-4 with
Nicholas Weisner and
Pablo Mossenta rounding out the singles lineup. Sanchez was the only Tiger taken to three sets, but all six members of CU's lineup pulled off the victories.
Campbellsville will play three straight away from home coming up with a pair of non-conference duals on Saturday and Sunday at Indiana Wesleyan and Marian before taking on Lindsey Wilson College next Thursday.
