CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY – The Tigers handled business to start the weekend off with a 6-1 win over Thomas More Friday afternoon.
Raul Safont and Jericho Grollamn were able to start the doubles play off with a win to give the Tigers the lead. They won their matchup (6-1).
Mario Sachez and
Grayson Cullen were behind them with the same score line of (6-1).
Nicolas Verdu and Yumo Shimotuji followed behind them with a (6-2) victory.
Grollman and
Matus Sevcik both had were pushed in their first sets of their individuals matches. Grollman and Sevcik both won their first set (7-6) while having an almost identical score line in the second with Grollman winning (6-0) and Sevcik (6-1).
Cullen was able to cruise through his match winning both sets in his (6-0, 6-0). Shimotuji pulled a second victory on the day with his (6-4, 6-1) win. Weisner was the final Tiger to seal the deal for the team with his decisive (6-4, 6-1) win.
The Tigers are back in action tomorrow with a matchup against rival Georgetown College. That match will begin at 2 PM at the Kelly Hall Tennis Complex.
