CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Campbellsville University Men's Volleyball team hope to make it three-straight wins following their victory at Cumberland University on Tuesday. It promises to be a busy weekend for the Tigers as they prepare to face Georgetown College and Midway University on Friday and Saturday.
The Campbellsville Tigers will start by making the trip to Georgetown, Ky. for a 7 p.m. ET start time on Friday night, before they make the quick turnaround to face Midway University at 7 p.m. ET at Gosser Gymnasium the following day.
ATTENDANCE AND BROADCAST INFORMATION
- The match against Georgetown College will be available for viewing at https://portal.stretchinternet.com/georgetown/.
- The home game against Midway will air live on the CU Sports Network at www.campbellsvilletigers.com/watch.
- Georgetown's policy for fans at volleyball matches is that no visiting fans can attend the matches.
- Campbellsville University is allowing families of competing student-athletes and limited amounts of CU students to attend the match.
TIGER NOTES
- It took five sets for the Campbellsville to claim the victory in their last match against Cumberland University which ended 3-2.
- The Tigers have a chance to take their conference record to 6-1 at the end of the weekend, taking them to a three-match winning streak.
- Rafael Cruz who had 11 kills in Campbellsville's win against Cumberland University also leads the Tigers in kills this season.
- Ocala, Fla. native, Jay Montalvo, continues to put on impressive performances, recording 12 digs in the last match and 146 for the season.
SCOUTING GEORGETOWN
- The Georgetown Tigers are unbeaten in conference play, holding a record of 4-0 going into this match-up.
- Ryan Gunn leads Georgetown College in overall kills this season with 62, having played nine matches this season.
- Georgetown College comes off of an MSC Crossover Tri-match where they played Reinhardt University and Webber International, coming out winners in both matches but had their match against Life University postponed.
SCOUTING MIDWAY
- Midway University will face Milligan University on Friday before they travel to Campbellsville to face the Tigers on Saturday.
- They come in looking for their first victory in this match-up in what will be the third meeting between the two schools.
- In that match Victor Bazzo came up with 11 kills as he ranks No. 3 in Division I in Service Aces per Game in 2021.
- Adrian Constant leads Midway in kills with 106 and is currently ranked No. 7 in Division I in Kills per Game with 4.420.
LOOKING AHEAD
- Next week, CU will have more home matches as they will host Cumberland and Mount Vernon Nazarene on Tuesday and Friday respectively before facing Thomas More on the road on Sunday, Mar. 14.
