Lady Tigers look to stay hot with pair of MSC contests

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Campbellsville University Women's Soccer Team will lace up their cleats once again as they prepare for two games in three days when they travel to Thomas More University then return home to host Georgetown College this Sunday and Tuesday.
 
The Lady Tigers will be hoping to replicate a boisterous performance as they did against Shawnee State University, managing to put four past the Bears last Tuesday.
 
The match at Crestview Hills, Ky. will begin at 12:30 p.m. ET with in yet another Mid-South Conference showdown against Georgetown at Finley Stadium at 5:30 p.m. ET.
 
ATTENDANCE AND BROADCASTING INFORMATION.
  • Tuesday's home game will air on the CU Sports Network available online at www.campbellsvilletigers.com/watch.
  • No visiting fans are allowed at Thomas More games per their fan attendance policy and fans still cannot enter Finley Stadium at CU due to the continuing construction of the bleachers and stadium box.
 
LADY TIGERS NOTES
  • The Lady Tigers attack ran rampant in their last outing, beating Thomas More University 4-1 in a game where Sarah Johnston, Jessie Bryson, and Abigail Proctor found a way through.
  • Proctor looks to extend her purple patch in front of goal, grabbing three goals in her previous two games.
  • With a total of 24 saves this season, goalkeeper Katelyn Young, will hope to guard the net and lead her defense to a second shutout of the season.
  • Rebecca Lilley looks to get back on the field and back on the scoresheet after missing out on the action against Shawnee States University.
 
SCOUTING THOMAS MORE
  • The Saints enter the game on a two-game winning streak and a 2-2 overall record winning against Freed-Hardeman University and Bethel but dropping at the hands of Shawnee State University and Trinity Christian College.
  • Freshman Defender, Lindsay Ballinger leads her team in scoring with 2 goals, accounting for 50% of the team's overall goals this season.
  • Thomas More University have recorded one shutout this season which came in their game against Bethel University.
  • Goalkeeper Taylor Stahl has started all games for the Saints this season and was able to make 14 overall saves in the process.
 
SCOUTING GEORGETOWN
  • The Tigers are 3-1 so far on the 2020 season with all of their games coming in 2021 so far with a 1-1 record in MSC play.
  • GC earned a 3-0 win over Freed-Hardeman and dropped a 5-4 high scoring loss to Shawnee State in conference play with non-conference wins against Trinity Christian and Asbury.
  • Libby Miller and Madie Sparks lead the charge up front with five and four goals respectively on the season as Miller has two assists and Sparks adding an assist as well.
  • In goal, Megan Martin and Kacy Zimmerman have each started games with Martin winning two of the three games in three starts with two goals allowed per game and a .684 save percentage.
 
LOOKING AHEAD
  • Campbellsville will play their final two home games of the season following Tuesday's game when they host Bethel and Freed-Hardeman on Mar. 14 and Mar. 16 respectively.
