Abigail Proctor named Mid-South Conference Freshman of the Year

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Just a day away from the quarterfinals of the Mid-South Conference Tournament in women's soccer, MSC officials announced All-Conference selections and Players of the Year as Campbellsville's Abigail Proctor was named the Freshman of the Year in the conference.

Proctor finished the regular season with the team lead in points (15), goals (6), and assist (3), as she played a part in nine of the team's 20 regular season goals in the 13 games played. The Bardstown, Ky. native played central midfield in her first season here at CU after transferring from Eastern Kentucky University following a redshirt in the 2019 season.

Her Freshman of the Year selection makes her only the second Lady Tiger to earn the honor after goalkeeper Brandie Hagerman was named Freshman of the Year for the 2010 season.

Proctor and the Lady Tigers will be playing in the quarterfinals of the MSC Tournament in Columbia, Ky. when they face Lindsey Wilson College at 6 p.m. ET/5 p.m. CT.
