CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY – Campbellsville falls on back to back days to #25 Cumberland University and Martin Methodist.
Dealing with brutal wind conditions on both days made a struggle for the Tigers to bring in the wins.
The Tigers had the lead in the early going against the Phoenix during doubles play.
Matus Sevcik and
Mario Sanchez won their match (6-4) with their other doubles teammates
Raul Safont and
Nicolas Verdu won (7-6).
Safont and Sanchez were the only two able to pick up wins in singles play against the Phoenix. Safont won his match (6-2, 6-2) while Sanchez was at (7-5, 3-6, 7-5).
Safont and Verdu came back against Martin Methodist to pick up their second doubles win in two days with a score of (7-5).
Nicholas Weisner joined Safont in winning in singles play against Martin Methodist. Weisner was able to win his match (6-3, 6-3).
Campbellsville will travel down highway 55 Saturday April 3 to face off against Lindsey Wilson in a 2 p.m matchup.
