CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY – The Tigers cruised through rival Georgetown Wednesday afternoon 7-0 to finish off the home schedule.
Raul Safont and
Nicolas Verdu were able to get the Tigers off to a hot start with a (6-2) win while their teammates in the three spot
Grayson Cullen and
Pablo Mossenta were able to come away with a (6-3) victory.
Cullen was the first to finish up his singles play match while only conceiving one game. He won in straight sets (6-0, 6-1). Safont followed Cullens lead and finished a few minutes after with another straight sets victory of (6-1, 6-1).
Yuto Shimotuji won his match with an identical score to Safont with a (6-1, 6-1) win.
Mario Sanchez was the fourth Tiger to win in straight sets during singles play with a (7-5, 6-4) win.
Matus Sevcik and
Nicholas Weisner were the final two Tigers to complete singles play. Sevcik won his match (6-4, 6-4) while Weisner was able to pull out a three set victory (6-7, 6-1, 10-5).
Campbellsville will travel to the state of Tennessee to finish off the regular season. They will play Bethel University Friday April 9
th and Freed-Hardeman Saturday April 10
th.
